Wendy E. Choi
L.Ac, M.S., Dipl.O.M. (NCCAOM)
Acupuncturist, Herbalist, Esthetician
Wendy is a passionate and warm-hearted acupuncturist and herbalist. Born and raised in Korea, she was first exposed to Chinese medicine at a young age. As a child she often experienced health complications and relied on natural remedies to fight off her illnesses and build up her immune system.
Wendy's journey of becoming a full fledged acupuncturist began in Switzerland in 2004, where she lived with her husband and had her first child. To her surprise, Oriental Medicine was widely embraced in Europe and she was fortunate enough to study under the renowned Oriental Medicine practitioners in Chiway Academy for Acupuncture and Asian Medicine in Switzerland. She continued her studies after moving to Orange County, CA by obtaining her Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from South Baylo University, the largest Oriental Medicine school in the US, and graduated as a valedictorian in 2010. Soon after, she started acupuncture clinics in Los Angels and Orange Counties while teaching California Acupuncture Board Exam preparation course at the South Baylo University by invitation from the University.
After six years in Singapore, Wendy returned to the States in 2018, eager to apply her skills in Georgia and pursue her passion for helping others. At an Acupuncture clinic specialized in Infertility (Buckhead Acupuncture and Herbal Center), she has been making a significant impact, successfully helping patients with infertility and patients who are going through IVF/IUI procedures. Wendy finds immense fulfillment in her work, knowing she's making a difference in the lives of those struggling with infertility, fostering hope and healing through her expertise.
Wendy has excelled in aiding patients facing a spectrum of health challenges, including infertility, IVF/IUI support, pain management, menopause, women's health issues, anxiety, depression, gastrointestinal health, autoimmune disorders, cancer support, and cosmetic facial acupuncture. Holding licenses as an acupuncturist and herbalist in both Georgia and California, along with a National Acupuncture & Herbalist license (NCCAOM), she brings a wealth of expertise to her practice. Additionally, Wendy is a licensed esthetician in California, showcasing her commitment to holistic wellness and beauty.

Richard M. Son
L.Ac, LCSW, MSW, M.S., Dipl.O.M. (NCCAOM)
Acupuncturist, Herbalist, Clinical Social Worker
Richard is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Acupuncturist and Herbalist specializing in integrative care focused on pain management, emotional well-being, and mental health. His work is grounded in a holistic, quality-of-life–centered philosophy that recognizes the profound and bidirectional relationship between psychological distress and physical pain.

Richard has successfully treated patients suffering from musculoskeletal pain, including neck pain, shoulder pain, back pain, and knee pain. Richard also words with patients experiencing headaches, migraines, sciatica, herniated discs, and sports injuries. Using a comprehensive approach that may include acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, cupping therapy, herbal medicine, and lifestyle guidance, Richard focuses on reducing pain, restoring function, and improving overall quality of life. Each treatment plan is individualized to address the root cause of discomfort while promoting the body's natural healing process.

Richard currently provides clinical counseling with an emphasis on behavioral therapy and hospice comfort care, supporting individuals and families navigating complex medical conditions, emotional challenges, and end-of-life transitions. He has extensive experience working with patients experiencing depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and applies a trauma-informed, compassionate, and ethically grounded approach to care.
While practicing behavioral therapy, Richard observed that emotional and psychological suffering frequently manifests as somatic pain, and that unresolved physical discomfort often intensifies mental health symptoms. This clinical insight shaped his professional mission: to move beyond treating the mind alone and to also address physical pain as an essential component of emotional healing and overall well-being.
Motivated by his commitment to improving patients’ quality of life, Richard pursued advanced training in Oriental medicine to complement his background in behavioral health. By integrating evidence-based psychotherapy with acupuncture and herbal medicine, he supports pain reduction through dry needling, indigestion, Bell’s palsy, emotional regulation, stress resilience, and improved functional well-being—particularly for patients with chronic pain, stress-related conditions, and psychosomatic symptoms.
Richard earned his MSW degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 2010 and completed a master’s degree in Oriental Medicine at Virginia University of Integrative Medicine in 2024. His interdisciplinary training allows him to bridge conventional mental health care with TCM in a clinically responsible and patient-centered manner.
Richard is committed to collaborative and individualized care that honors each patient’s physical condition, emotional experience, and personal circumstances. His work is guided by the belief that meaningful healing occurs when mind and body are treated together, with dignity, compassion, and respect.

Christal S. Bae
L.Ac, M.S., Dipl.Acupuncture (NCCAOM)
Acupuncturist, Integrative Therapist
With an undergrad major in biochemistry and molecular biology, Christal was a committed pre-med student and a biochemist interested in curing diseases. Upon graduation, she worked as a research fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention while preparing for medical school. With many turns of events, however, she finally chose to pursue acupuncture and herbal medicine to fulfill her dream to become a true healer.
Christal’s journey to become an acupuncturist began when she read the book “The Spark in the Machine.” The book was written by a medical doctor who also earned a degree in Oriental Medicine. Upon reading the book, she decided to pursue East Asian medicine, because she came to believe that acupuncture and herbal medicine can work on a par with (or in some cases better than) conventional medicine—in bringing health and longevity.
Her belief was backed by her childhood experience with acupuncture and herbal medicine. As a Korean family, her mother and grandmother got so much relief from severe back pain after receiving acupuncture. Christal’s chronic sinusitis was cured after one course of herbal medicine. Her belief was further strengthened when she witnessed family members’ improvements with hives, stubborn coughs, anemia, and blood sugar level. Her favorite was getting immediate relief from a digestive blockage with a gentle, single-drop bleeding technique on an acupoint.
Christal earned her master’s degree at Virginia University of Integrative Medicine, where she learned the importance of integrating acupuncture and herbal medicine with conventional medicine. As an integrative therapist, Christal is currently focusing on alleviating pain that occurs from various injuries as well as from internal conditions. She is also passionate about improving conventional medical diagnostic results with acupuncture.
Christal enjoys her life with her husband and three kids. During the weekends they can be seen riding bikes and walking at parks. She also learns ballet with her youngest daughter and enjoys maintaining her fitness with lots of stretches and ballet movements.
